    Default Hello Everyone

Just joined the group as I was looking for guidance and advice on my Suzuki Madura 700 GV Motorcycle as well as seeing if there are any other Madura owners / riders out there in the UK. Anyway Looking forward to discussing bikes in general with like minded individuals

Evening Artic Mick, Here is my Suzuki Madura 700 - Suzuki produced this bike in 1985/86 in two variants 700cc and 1200cc and only produced 5099 in total across both variants, problem being nobody knows how many they produced of each type.

It was built with a V4 engine to compete with the Vmax and Magna and was the forerunner to the Suzuki Intruder albeit they dropped the V4 engien in favour of the V Twin, and made the bike more custom cruiser than musclebike.

Not sure how many are left worldwide but still popular in Netherlands, Canada and USA but stuggling to find anymore in the UK in orginal condition as most coverted to trikes due to shaft drive or no longer in existance. Parts can be a litle tricky, but in the process of bringing it back to its former glory, engine solid with bucket loas of torque and grunt.

Thanks for the post - will try and upload an image so you can see what it looks like

    Regards Mac

    Evening Meldrew
Thanks for the reply and good to know there are more Madura's out there in the Uk - Look forward to seeing you at the Manchester Event City Show later next month, if the weather good might even break the bike out of the garage for the ride down from Preston.
