Data Protection Act 1998

The Suzuki Owners club, hereinafter referred to as SOC, have a legal obligation to comply with the Data Protection Act in relation to personal data which we hold about you.

Confidentiality;

The SOC adhere to a confidentiality policy that requires us to treat all information about you in the strictest confidence. The SOC does not pass personal data to mailing list suppliers.

Purposes for which your data may be used;

The SOC will use your data to provide you with information or advice on products and or services offered by the SOC or its recognised discount companies. Your data may also be passed on to recognised club officials (centre secretaries and National Committee members) in the interests of providing you with a comprehensive and continuous service through the club.

The SOC will use your data for administration, risk assessment, fraud prevention and regulatory purposes and will be kept on file for a maximum period of five years after leaving the club for the above purposes.

Your rights;

You have the right to apply to the SOC for a copy of the data that the SOC holds about you (for which a fee of up to £5 may be charged) and to have any inaccuracies corrected. Please notify the SOC if your personal details change or are incorrect
