GS 850 GG - BUCKS area any help ?

Alright,
Anybody know of a decent spanner man that would be able to rebuild the engine of me GS 850 GG....? Frame, wires, brakes fine....carbs being rebuilt currently (any ideas on carb o rings / etc suppliers ?).
Any advise on better handeling mods ? its a pig but fun......but would like to go round corners/round abouts and brake without ****@@ng myself :hein: (and no I dont want a GSXR......)

Anybody near here.........
also any brakers yards about here......

almost finished my gs400 1991 japanese import , phoenix was a mess when i got him but he looks pretty dam good now hope the rest turns out as good as the clocks , hard work paying off at last

after laying in bed a couple nights ago thoughts started going through my head about how much i was going to miss the old gal, then suddenly it clicked, get a little 50cc for a run about and then spend every other waking moment working on her. part of me knew i couldnt let such a beautiful gsxr go <3

after finninshing the gsxr 400 project 90 - 95% funding has dried up completely and i have no time left to complete it :( unfortunately i now have to sell her, she was never the best bike but she was my baby and bought me many hours of fun, be it riding her or fixing her up, when she finds a new home i hopethey love her as much as i do :'( goodbye sophie

UPDATE!!!!! all panels are now blocked, acid etched, primed and sprayed. what a way to spend an evening. worth it in the end.
next up is to get out the damp cloth and polish, clean between all the nooks and crannies.
and after months of being stood on the paddock stands under the custom made sleeping bag cover (literally two sleeping bags with a waterproof layer sown over them) its time to name her, ive gone with Sophie :D

Gsxr 400 1989 progress

what the latest on the gsxr I hear (pretend to hear) you ask? well the latest is all the plastics are off now, im having a damn good polish of all the not so shiny parts and ive finally after 4 hours of agonising blocking the panels ive managed to get down to the coat before the gel coating and have managed to lay down 2 coats of primer, quite like it in a dark grey but it would be a waste of shiny new paint not to go black, anybody got any ideas on decals that would look nice?

i will keep you updated as often as possible

hello everybody welcome to my blog, nothign interesting yet just a progress report on my 1989 gsxr 400.
after searching for my first big bike for some time i came across a little spares or repairsgem, this gem wasnt the prettiest little rock but it seemed perfect for me.
its a little black gsxr 400 from 1989 with the deltabox rear swingarm,
paintwork (as to be expected for a cheap bike that didnt run) was... to put it nicely... terrible, somebody had clearly gone to poundland for the spraypaint then decided it would be fine to spray it in the rain. ive recently go the bike running after a good couple hours of balancing the carbs and cleaning with the percision of a pro :p and im glad to say other than a small amount of valve clearance ajustment needed its as sweet as a nut. i will keep anybody who is interested updated on this and ill be posting pictures as i go along
